Sure to become an Heirloom, kits include rouged out pieces of maple so when glued together are in the shape of the horse. There is plenty of carving to do, especially the under cuts.
The Rockers are made of 8/4 alder. Both rockers are are cut to shape. The 8/4 alder base will need to be glued together and attached to the rockers. Pipes and hardware are "heavy duty".
The horse hair and tack are of the highest quality. Instructions are included along with online help.
Monday through Friday 8am to 6 pm 1 hr break for lunch (lunch included) However, many students chose to work into the night. Because the kits are already roughed out, most students leave with a complete horse to take with them or be shipped.
Students will learn all the processes needed to complete a horse including; glue-up, basic horse anatomy, power carving, and finishing.
Courses are only held during the summer months to enjoy working inside or out of the studio and enjoy the Rocking horse Ranch amenities, including the famous graduation BBQ held Friday night.
